Spectacular scenery. Relax whilst passing through Castlerock village and enjoy the beautiful stretch along Downhill and Benone Strands. As you leave Castlerock station southbound towards Derry/L`Derry the train enters a long tunnel directly underneath Mussenden Temple, and as you exit this tunnel you have on your right hand side the location for HBO`s Game Of Thrones episode when the Kalee... Transportation service was "OK" (apart from the A/C chill) BUT information on Easter Tuesday schedule (same as Saturday) could only be found in small print (at the station + none found by me on website), while "funny" alcohol rules for the Easter weekend were all over the place (posters). Classic traveler information management gone wrong... More

Often topping the poll for viewings, this stetch of the Derry-Belfast line is an essential piece during any trip to the region. The moment passing through the mountain at Castlerock and onto the beach is a rare sight on any inter-city route. Held in high regard by such people as Michael Palin (Monty Python) and even Michael Portillo on his... More

Unfortunately we got an early train and it was still mostly dark out, so we couldn't see much of the famous scenery. Otherwise, it was a cost effective, fast and reasonably comfortable way to get around Northern... More

Having used the rail service a few times recently, the bumping along and the clacking of the train on the rails is becoming increasingly worse - glad to hear there are repairs being done in the summer of 2012 - long overdue! Look forward to using the service again when the track is smooth! More
