This tiny church is hidden from the main thoroughfare of the city but is quite a jewel. Do not miss a tour of the graveyard ... you will be astounded by the history there! More

Canon McKegney ALWAYS greeted everyone with a smile and I understand there is a wonderful man there who now tells the history of... More

St. Augustine.s is inside the city walls. A wonderful church volunteer showed us around both the interior and exterior of the church. Given the fact it was a Sunday between services, we really appreciated this. More

St. Augustine's is a warm, welcoming church filled with Irish charm, spirituality and hospitality. Having visited Northern Ireland several times, we make sure to visit this church each time to enjoy it's historic and magical feel. Nestled in the city walls, you can imagine the times, troubles and changes the church has experienced over it's turbulent past. Somehow it has... More

was at St Augustine's last summer -a lovely place to visit! There were several guys dressed in 17th century costume - one a monk & one a gravedigger - telling stories about the church buildings during the famous 'Seige' & earlier. The site dates from circa 546ad & apparently formed the city of Derry! Got this info from the very... More

St Augustines, otherwise known as The Wee Church on the Walls is one of the most beautiful places for a visitor to call while touring the City of Londonderry. It's the site of St Columba's first church in Ireland and is open to tourists in the summer from May to September. You'll definitely be made welcome by the Rev. Pat... More
