Good effort, but let down by simplicity of displays and lack of funding. Should be rehoused to a central museum complex somewhere else in the city.

We went in here not really sure what to expect but glad that we did. It gives all the information on the reason why Workhouses were established but also tells the truth about the greed of those who were out in charge and the grinding hardships of the inmates. As a native from Derry I had heard about the 13 steps and that the Workhouse was haunted. There is a stange feeling and you do feel compelled to look behind you as you walk about. Our Guide fairly stunned us with facts and we had quite a few lively conversations/debates.
