The first time I walked inside this cathedral, goosebumps run up and down my spine. What an amazing place and so full of history More

Beautiful historic church with heraldic ceiling, many interesting gravestones in church yard, which give insight into the merchant & seafaring tradition of Aberdeen. Nearby access to Seaton Park. Best visited on a fine day! More

I liked this restaurant more for the location than the food - couldn't even tell you what I ate. Except that it was good. It was nice to be able to sit at a low table and couch. Love the church and stained glass windows. More

St Machar's Catedral is filled with history and beauty! The volunteers do a wonderful job of telling the history. Don't miss graveyard around the cathedral it is filled with beautiful head stones and as the sun shines thru the trees it is undescribable! More

What a glorious monument, the building in all it's humble, hidden glory, actually is. Take time to explore it in detail, the tombs, the effigies, the windows, and prepare yourself for a somewhat unkown history of the oil capital of the United Kingdom. More

St Machar's Cathedral is located in Old Aberdeen, to the north of Aberdeen's city centre. This superb, very historic church is also the parish church for Old Aberdeen, with regular Sunday services.
