Being an Aberdeen citizen I am disappointed in myself that it took me so long to visit the Maritime Museum! I have been several times since my first visit as it is a most enjoyable place. A great insight into an important part of Aberdeen.

Being from the oil industry myself, found this museum a tribute to anything maritime; and Aberdeen certainly does have the history to show for it. And surprisingly, it's definitely not boring.

Well worth a visit, although some of the displays are a little dated (from 15 years ago). Lots of interesting stuff on history and development of Aberdeen, and how the oil industry works and has affected the city. Not as interactive as more recent museums, but 3D film was good and up to date.
