It was closed when we wanted to get in, but it was still great walking around it from the outside and reading up on the internet. More

Called in here as I was working nearby. What an amazing place! I had heard of it but wasn't expecting so much to still be standing and for the stone work to be of such a high quality. There are lots of information boards around the site and several buildings are still intact so have indoor rooms as well as... More

This place is really interesting. There is a building with an excellent echo that gave us a chance to have a sing along and actually sound quite good (despite not being able to sing!) The site is mostly outdoors but there is a really good visitor centre and good interactives. The staff were friendly and informative. The old graves adjacent... More

Interesting ruin with a great echo in one of the few intact buildings! The modern visitor centre is done well - very informative. Staff could have been more proactive in involving the children though. It's mainly outdoors so bring your cag! More

We spent a few hours here exploring the various buildings and exhibits (would have been longer but the rain was heavy and much although not all is outside). Good history not just of the declaration of independence. Easy walk from the station - just follow the signs. More

The famous Bell Rock lighthouse lies 11 miles east of Arbroath. It is well worth a visit, you'll have to go by boat! The town of Arbroath has a lot to offer with a lot of small town attractions. Kerr's Miniature Railway, Red Lion caravan Park, Arbroath Abbey and Montrose Air Museum being just a few. Check out the Angus... More

Arbroath Abbey is a symbol of Scottish Independence as much as an actual place. When you enter the site you start in a building that contains information on the abbey, models of what it looked like in the thirteenth century, as well as information on the Declaration itself. From here you move into the actual site and see the remains... More

It is enough to see it from the outside. It is a ruin and admission is 5 pounds! More
