Sit down - get comfy - have your drinks brought to you and then get asked to move as the window seat is reserved without a reserve badge! More

Machrihanish is a hauntingly wonderful place. Having played here in 2009 the opportunity to play again this week was one I had been looking forward to for months but I could not believe how battered the course had become. The winter has been savage with floods, hail storms and howling gales but I never expected the course to be in... More

Where else can you drive your ball across the atlantic. This golf course is not easy to get to, but well worth the journey. It is a fantastic links course and the opening hole is described as the world's most spectacular. On anything but a very calm day it certainly sorts out the men from the boys. Decent clubhouse with... More

Machrihanish is an excellent and challenging dunes course, made more challenging this year by Winter greens on all holes, after a very wet and stormy few months. Standing water in bunkers on a links course, is extremely unusual and a mark of just how wet it has been. More

We played this course twice over two days. Both times with caddies. The experience was outstanding. It is a tremendous test of links golf . Beautiful views, unique holes and knowledgeable caddies made for a very memorable experience. More

Our group of six played this course twice while in the area. The course is a classic links course, unspoiled by modern "improvements". We requested caddies and over the course of a couple of rounds, got to know a number of the club members who were caddying for us. The caddies were some of the nicest people and we ended... More

Just the best experience. There's not a lot for a non-golfing spouse to do in the immediate area, so I walked along with my husband. It was beautiful! More
