The jail is advertised as a 5 star attraction and although it won't take a full day to visit, we agreed! Take time to read the notices on the walls and even some of the entries in the old books on display!
One of the attendants was full of knowledge and used to be a real prison warder!

This place just needs a little bit of TLC and more interesting information, however the kids loved it so what more can you ask !

Nothing to dislike about this gem of a Museum, entertaining and informative

This was one of the best experiences of its type we have done. We would highly recommend anyone to visit and see how grim jail could be originally, and then how much more liberal it became compared to England later.

Nicely set up with models mingling with real people so you don't know the difference.. great for the kids
