really enjoyed taking in the lovely scenery on our walk here. there is a smaller beach before you get to the main beach, i actually think this was a nicer beach,remember a blanket for sitting on a there is only one wooden bench there. the main beach has a few houses around it,public toilets,(could be better) and unfortunately no shop....

Most of sand disappeared during winter storms but has started to come back. Still lots of pebbles.

Very disappointing to find nothing there except fancy big houses.
When I heard of it being Ganavan Sands I pictured it as lovely white sands with a cafe/ tearoom facility available. Won't be back again.Looks like a property developer has made a lot of money

Although beautiful views of the islands quite a trail for nothing else to see or do. Since we last visited there has been extensive house building. Why the council would have agreed to planning permission for this estate I do not understand as it no longer feels like a holiday destination.

Good walks from Ganavan Sands and beautiful scenery to take in. Pity it is spoiled by the ultra modern houses their wwhich are a bit out of keeping with the surrounding area.

This is where we go for a picnic lunch when shopping in Oban in the summer, if the sun is shining. Lovely views, adequate facilities.
