While visiting Oban as part of a touring holiday of Scotland, we booked the Early Bird 3 Island tour through Bowman's travel. Excellent organistaion. Ferry to Mull, coach across the island to Fionnphort trip out to Staffa (Fingal's Cave) with the bonus of landing as the weather was calm and then about 3 hours on Iona before returning. A long...

Amazing experience. The rock formations on Staffa are simply breathtaking. Iona is one beautiful little isle too with amazing cultural history to explore.
Make sure you go on a weekday rather than at the weekend so you get more time to explore both isles as the last ferry back is at 5 p.m.
I will definitely be going back to...

Unfortunately it rained but even so we had a great day out. We travelled from Oban across to Mull on Calmac ferries, very comfortable journey, loads of seats and food / drinks available. Arrived at Craignure on Mull, then a bus to Fionnphort, due to tides / weather we went to Iona first - we had a couple of hours...

In 2009 whilst visiting Oban, we did the Mull Circular Tour with Bowmans Travel. Absolutely excellent, so in August 2011 on our return to Oban we booked the 2 Island Excursion. We were advised that Staffa is not suitable for young children due to the steepness and it being unsteady under foot.
The Bowmans office booked us the day before...

Ferry to Iona was short but sweet....

This was a really terrific trip. Large ferry from Oban to Craignure on Mull, then a bus to Fionnphort to link up with a very small ferry which took us to Staffa (just over an hour on the island) then on to Iona (2 hours there). Finally, the large ferry back to Oban. The scenery was truly incredible and all...

Great day out. Bought the tickets at 8.30am on the day as soon as the Bowmans ticket office opened as the weather wasn't great most of the week. Picked a great day for it. Left Oban at 9.50, about 45 mins to Mull, straight on a bus for 75mins to the Iona ferry. This was a very intersting winding single...

As above. Great day. Windy bus trip so sit at front if you get sick. Choppy sea on way out to Staffa. Calm back. Only 1 hour on Staffa not long enough. Felt rushed to see Puffins and cave but managed to squeeze it in. 2 hours on iona. Could have stayed all afternoon on beach. Still, lovely day, t...

We did the Mull, Iona, Staffa excursion through Bowman Tours. I went to their website about a month before we did the tour and emailed the owner to put us on a list for the date we desired, it was no problem. We paid 52 pounds each and went by the office in central Oban the evening before, although it...
