Had a cracking day out with Chris and Elaine around the Sound of Mull. Good lunch and birds including Sea Eagles and Great Northern Diver. Second time with them and there will definitely be a third if not more. Chris is very knowledgeable and really makes the trip along with Elaine, a most hospitable pair. More

We did the day trip with Chris and Elaine up to the Isle of Mull and environs, stopping at Tobermory on the way there for home made soup and sandwiches, during the first week in July. The weather was dull with intermittent showers and we did not see very much wildlife, but being out on the water with wonderful views... More

We did a 4 hour trip on the Highland Tiger through the Sound of Mull and into Loch Aline, where we had a delicious soup for lunch. Chris is a great skipper, he even let my husband steer the boat. There is a lookout on the upper deck, where two people can comfortably sit and enjoy the landscape. This tour... More

My family and I cannot recommend this cruise enough. The boat is great, the owners great and the pumkin soup superb. If you do one thing in Oban, this MUST be it. Due to circumstances not within our control, we had the opportunity to 'customize' our trip which made our last day in Scotland one to remember and we will... More

We (family with two kids aged 8 and 11) went on a half day trip to Mull 3/8. It was beautiful! We had great weather and everything was perfect! The skipper and his compagnion are friendly and have a lot of knowledge about the surroundings. We really recommend this trip! More

Having cruised with skipper Chris Jackson on a couple of previous occasions, longer trips around the Small Isles, Outer Hebrides and St Kilda, we needed no convincing to 'try out' the 'Highland Tiger,' his latest craft, when we discovering that it was newly acquired for this season. We booked a 'half day' trip (five hours) to finish off our 2... More

A smashing two hour sail on Highland Tiger up the Lynn of Lorn running alongside Lismore and up to Port Appin and Castle Stalker. We saw plenty of bird life along the way as well as porpoise and seals basking in the sun. The stunning scenery is just so much better from the water and Chris, the skipper, is a... More

On a wintry May day many years ago I had spied Loch Etive from a snowy mountain top. This trip aboard the Highland Tiger was to fulfil an ambition to see more of the Loch – on a fairly sunny, albeit windy, April afternoon. The wonderful scenery did not disappoint – nor did the Highland Tiger which at times roared,... More

We had visited the Oban area many times over the past few years and decided it would be great to see places we knew so well on the land, from the sea. We contacted Chris at Chalice Charters, who said he had a 4-hour trip travelling up Loch Etive if we could make it. Brilliant - we could! This was... More

April on the West Coast of Scotland, the weather a stunning 70 degrees (well that's what it felt like), the water like a mill pond. Loch Etive - our destination. The Highland Tiger (under the expert control of Chris our skipper ) was underway in no time at all. The Higland Tiger is spacious and well equipped. There is ample... More
