There's so much to see if you look outside the main 'things to see'- you just have to look. Be sure to read whatever material is available (look for 'Borders Abbeys Walk') as a lot of the things you will read up on aren't mentioned at he actual site. I love Dryburgh Abbey and have visited a number of times over the years. It is very atmospheric, in a nice calm and serene way. It is a very romantic ruin and the trees are incredible. The ruins were pretty neat - lots of detail still visible, with lots of hints of what had been. There is a tower you can climb for a better view of all. Overall, it was pretty impressive, with lots of nooks to explore. The acoustics in the Chapter Room were a delight. Would have liked an audio guide. More
