We decided to visit Drumlanrig castle, home of the Stewarts , on an impulse, knowing absolutely nothing about it. We were overwhelmed by its grandeur, standing in massive splendour at the end of a long broad drive. Thoroughly enjoyed the castle, tour anround was very interesting and pitched for all levels. Kids and adults alike thoroughly enjoyed it. You could spend a full day there with many interesting and fun things to do. Kids particularly enjoyed the forest adventure play area and the adults too.
