Fabulous resident astronomer Ken Kennedy is up there most nights in the winter till 10 pm. Seeing the rings of Saturn was an unforgettable experience for me!

Great over the winter as they give talks on various subjects in their planetarium for tiny fee (£1 per person ) . These are really interesting , then you can go upto the telescope and look at some of these sights for yourself. For free ...so great inexpensive way to spend an evening !

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Only one other family there in the hour we went, so everyone had plenty of time with the telescopes. Marvellous views of the moon, Jupiter and Uranus when we went. And it's free!
