We visited the Jam House after going to a 'ladies night' as part of a hen night, so I guess we arrived at about 10.30. There were still a few chairs left & later a table became free, so we enjoyed the 'golden oldie' music of the 60s & 70s. The place was filling up fast & some people were... More

After 'recovering' from Friday night, I thought I would write a review from our night out at the Jam House. We booked tickets for Billy Ocean and were initially disappointed as we wanted to have a meal as well. However we had obviously left it too late to book, as they were completely full. So we opted for the ticket... More

I've been here before and was sceptical, however decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and try it again, I should have listened to my inner niggles though! Booked The Jam House on Friday 13 April as a group of 5 females. We fancied somewhere lively for dinner and live music. When my friend booked she was told... More

I was very impressed by the place and the large stage. the food was outstanding and the atmosphere was so good!! it was an 80's night and the house band took over at 23h00 for a series of songs that brought me to my chidlhood.... Visited at the weekend. Great food, malthough portions were smallish, however that meant I needed a dessert, chocolate torte which was fantastic. There was live music and also music between sets. There is a 80's night coming up and plan to go again. More

Value for money, nowhere in Edinburgh can meet these standards for food, service and entertainment. The food is wonderful, staff are excellent, polite and helpful. The manager came round everyone to check we were satisfied and enjoying our night, where else do you get that kind of service and concern? The entertainment is also first class from the house band to the... More

We were undecided at what we were going to do for New Year's eve, so decided to take the plunge and spend our New Years celebrations at the Jam house. I have to compliment the management and staff of the venue for what was in my opinion an extremely enjoyable event from start to finish. Everyone in our group (16)... More

A disappointing Christmas night out; food average and service slow (some main courses and coffees went astray, and had to be chased) and surly service. One waiter was especially rude and we were turfed out of our seats to make way for the next sitting in a not very friendly manner (the delays to our leaving were caused by the... More

Had a very disappointing Christmas night out at the Jam House this week. We had the late sitting and we were seated promptly. The service was a little slow, and there was no drinks service at the table. My starter, the "selection of Jam House", consisted of 5 little black olives tasting strongly of vinegar, a small blob of grey,... More
