Having been on the cruise on the Forth trip last July we decided to book a "grand ticket" for our next trip to Edinburgh. It was a good decision! An early morning start on a bright, sunny & hot day meant no problems with a seat on the top deck and we used the buses for gaining information about the... More

Tours - There are six main tour companies (one of which will not run after August) and most of them do different routes around the city; with each of the tours lasting 55 minutes no matter which one you go on. City Sightseeing, for example, runs the city centre area of the city going around areas such as the Royal... More

Taking a city bus tour is usually a great way to see and become acquainted with a city (unless they are overly expensive) and the Edinburgh Bus Tours trips are ideal for this purpose, being reasonably-priced, frequent, and having a variety of routes to choose from. We had 48-hour tickets at £25 per person, which gave unlimited hop-on-hop-off access to... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a comprehensive review of our city tours. I am glad you enjoyed using our Grand Ticket Plus and managed to see some seals AND a puffin from the Forth Belle Cruise. As you say they can be shy so you were very lucky. I am particularly delighted that you... More

Jumped on for an hour before the train home. Good, informative tour taking in all the sites. Just wish we could have got off at a few places - need to go back now! More

The bus tour was OK, unfortunately we was unable to get a seat upstairs as it was very full, so we sat downstairs, and even though the tour guide was good we could not see much. More

Booked the 2 day ticket which included entrance to the castle, Brittania and Holyrood Palace. Very good value when you compare buying all the tickets separately. Good routes, get to see lots of the sights. Did the Edinburgh Bus Tour in full and then used the ticket to hop off and on at the sights. Excellent and can totally recommend. More

We have enjoyed some fantastic weather but also cater for cooler/wetter days with half-topped buses. Our Grand Ticket is valid 24 hours on all 5 of our city tours, and... More
