So nice not to be sat next to teenagers playing with their phones and throwing popcorn. Plenty of space, great atmosphere. Also enjoyed the film "Even the Rain" very much. Wish we didn't live hundreds of miles away. More

It's really a Filmhouse with a great atmposhere. Variety of films to select from, they change quite often so there's always something to see. I will be back next week. More

A trip to the Filmhouse is an altogether more civilised experience than your modern cinema. Sure it has the crystal clear picture and sound quality you'd expect, but it has a more warm fuzzy feel to it. It's beautiful theatres are beautiful. Luxurious red velvet curtains match the seats, some of which have little in-memorium plaques that brought a tear... More

Independent cinema at it's best. Always packed with enthusiastic patrons while the big chains around the corner echo the emptiness. It has a fabulous bar that serves delicious food. A regular Saturday night haunt now! More

Quirky cinema that shows mixture of mainstream and art house films. Good bar/cafe attached that serves til late. Relaxed/PC place ie a single woman could sit with a glass of wine and a book and not feel out of place More

With one of the widest programmes on offer, probably the best cinema around. And beer and food too? It just gets better. More

My 'friend' and I went to see an awful French film about a boy whose Dad hated him. After losing and then very quickly finding his bike and stirring some sauce, he moved in with a hairdresser, initially just for weekends, and later also for barbecues and dry rolls. The highlight of the film experience was when my 'friend' swapped... More
