We had an edinburgh pass so added this into our trip as it seemed interesting. We went midweek so was surrounded by school trips and although the information was interesting felt slightly rushed along as the children were obviously not interested in reading any of the information. Would be good for kids but wasnt mind blowing for adults exactly. The... More

Cannot believe this was my first visit as I live in Edinburgh. What a wonderful place with something for everyone, young and old (er)! Visited with a seven year old who said it was the best place he had ever been. You can experience the rainforest, an earthquake, space travel, going back in time amongst many other things. Sound and... More

Visited Dynamic Earth with my young son, two friends and their children. Overall, we thought that it was a nice way to spend the day, but perhaps some of the exhibits could be a little more interactive for younger children? There's a lot of information in each of the rooms, but at some points the kids were losing concentration as... More

My expections for Dynamic Earth were quite high as I had heard good things from friends who had visited last year. I was slightly disapointed and it was mostly aimed and quite young children which was understandble. I also thought the ticket was quite expensive. The 4D film was good though and also the time machine. Staff were also very... More

we visited the attraction last week. there were 4 adults in out party and were very happy with the place. there are some parts that are mainly for children but that is understanable. it was very informative throughout and you are given plenty of time in the rooms before you are moved on to the next section. the staff were... Our Dynamic Earth was recommended to my both by a friend and a member of staff in the hotel I was staying in as a good place to take my toddler to on a rainy Edinburgh day. It was £11.50 for an adult and my toddler was free. With hindsight the cost was high as my toddler wasn't able to... More

My boyfriend and I both visited Dynamic Earth and were hugely disappointed. We are in our 20's interested in science and Earth, but to us this was a complete waste of time, money and effort. Our expectations were a lot different to what was inside. We thought it was going to be a lot more hands on, but instead it... More

It’s always helpful to receive feedback, however harsh. You comment that you felt some parts of Dynamic Earth were ‘massively complicated’ and that others were ‘kiddified’ so it’s difficult for us to determine which you would have preferred. Either way, we do aim to strike a balance between education and fun using a range of communication methods and styles, but... More
