I went to a wisky shop then I asked where the best pub to have wisky.A shop person recommended coming here.It was absolution right! Asking a selection and telling your favour,they definitely give a good suggestion!

The place was cozy, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good selection of Real Ales and huge selection of whiskey, I dream about place like this back home.

Real ale by the barrel-load (I counted seven) and malt whiskies by the hundred. A traditional no-nonsense boozer with an eclectic clientele and excellent sevice. Great traditional bar in Edinburgh's old town. Forget cocktails and an extensive wine list - if you want that this place is not for you - what you do get is a "proper" drink with good service and a friendly clientele. Well worth a visit where their a lcal or a visitor.

And this is our local. Wine choice is limited to a choice of one but a very pleasant one it is. Still a tad small minded I think. The ladies toilet is clean but spartan despite pleas for improvement. Dropped in here for a drink last night. Been many times before and always been fine. This time the barman (incorrectly) thought he overheard something in a private conversation, took mighty umbrage and tried to bar the customer. Only sustained appeals to reason and soothing of ruffled feathers prevented a scene and the evening being spoiled by this petulant behaviour.... More

Stopped in for the pie and pint. Good buy about £10 for two of us. Got there late so only had haggis and chicken pies no vegetarian options. Folks were really friendly too.
