We were lucky to be a small group so we could ask Danny lots of questions... he knows all about the vaults. He seems to have the extra bit of passion beyond the usual trained tour guide stories. After reading some (most!) of the negative reviews on here, I wasn't looking forward to going on the Aulk Reekie tour, however I'm glad that I did. We went on the tourture tour, the guide was good and going to the underground vaults was good fun and quite creepy but I think that Mary kings close and the Edinburgh Dungeons give you more value for money. Myself and 2 friends went on the Terror Tour. It wasn't as scary as we expected but it was still very good. Our guide Matthew was funny and scary at various points. Good for a laugh but you won't be terrified. More

We were taken into an upstairs room ,which was a joke.We were supposed to be on an underground tour of the vaults of the city. When I complained to my tour guide he was very rude. My group and I felt that the tour was a complete falsification,most upseting experience .Total waste of time and money try some other group. More

I really did enjoy this! I love the feeling of being scared and thinking there are ghosts all around. The guide was very good, clearly liked his job and answered all questions with ease. I am glad we got a 2 for 1 voucher though - as I would have felt slightly ripped off paying £9 each. More
