Apart from being a little bit overpriced . You can spend all day here and my kids had fun looking at all the animals. Very hilly but there is a bus that takes you to the top so if you find walking hard then it can help!!

What could have been a magical day was spoilt by the consistant rain. Having said that, just seeing the giant panda was well worth it. When we went only the male was on show as the female was a bit under the weather (All that rain no doubt) he spent most of our 20 minute slot asleep but right on...

Despite having lived in Edinburgh for five years, I'd never been to the zoo - I'm not a big zoo fan - but the giant pandas were a big draw. Didn't hold out much hope of actually seeing them, though, as pandas reputedly sleep 16 hours a day.
What a great surprise! The setting of the zoo is lovely, with...

I have visited this zoo many times. It has many interesting exhibits - giraffes& rhinos being my favourites. However, it is on the side of a hill so walking can be tough. Cafes and sevrices need uplift.

We were very lucky with the weather as it was sunny. It is a lovely zoo, well planned and attractive lay out. A lot of walking and hilly but we took the free bus up the hill and walked back. We had gone to see the pandas but unfortunately only the male was on show (the girl wasn't too well)....

Although it rained the whole time (the great british weather!) we really enjoyed the day out, going midweek meant there were quite a lot of school trips there but we still enjoyed the day viewing all the animals.

We were disappointed by so many empty cages, pens and the amount of animals that had been moved to different areas. Hearing children saying "where are all the animals?" was quite sad. Several animals were pacing which was distressing to see. Oh and if you wish to see the Pandas - make sure you book an appointment in advance.

We liked seeing the little penguins splash about in their enclosure. Pandas were interesting but over-rated. This place would be good for kids. Some of the animals were not anywhere to be seen.
