no help - no information - no attraction. Had it not been that I am a local I would never have felt that I was allowed to enter. Taking my grandchildren to look for conkers in the grounds still makes me feel uncomfortable. More

Lauriston Castle is a bit better than average but not yet very good. There are very pleasant views over the River Forth and Cramond Island from the lawns and nice walks through the gardens. For the tourist it isn't a must see. For Edinburgh residents it makes for a very pleasant afternoon out. More

This was a great sunny day. The walk round the gardens was so calm and peaceful, and the views across the river so pretty. Nothing seemed out of place, it was just a lovely place to wander and take in the colours and plants and the atmosphere. Well worth the visit. More

We were there with our friends kids and they loved the fact there was a ghost! Gardens were great for a picnic and it was nice and quiet. defo will go back... More

What a gorgeous setting. The grounds were a perfect place for a meander whilst the children let their imagination run wild, and let off some steam before a tour of the Castle. Our guide was very accommodating and had some fascinating stories to tell. We loved the Laird's Lug and secret passageway! Entry to the grounds are free and admission... More
