I wish that I had consulted Tripadvisor before our visit today. It falls down on everything - cleanliness, staff attitude, range of drinks (apart from beer), awful food. Like so many others I remember when it was a fantastic place to eat. I can only assume they get their trade from visitors to Cramond -who like myself will not return. More

I work next to this pub on the beach front. Always seemed a nice place to go after work for a drink, so when we did, I wish we hadn't bothered. Staff were rude and unfriendly. After a few drinks they proceeded to further ID the group where only three out of 6 were drinking. Those who were supplied ID... More

Sam and Val must be spinning in their graves. What was a superb restaurant serving great food from local produce is now a filthy, dirty, haven for drug users and drunks. When a fellow customer complained about the foo, he was told to "**** off and don't come back" This is the worst public house in Scotland, as other reviewers... More

I gave this pub a lot of chances but over all this has to be the most horrendous place I have ever been too- apart from the beautiful sea side view. The staff are am noxious and the couple who run have no clue. The standards are disgusting and there should be a title of " I don't care" As... More

I grew up in Cramond and the Inn has always been the place where me and my school buddies meet on our return to Edinburgh. I'm sad to say that this has given me a clear indication of how much the place has lost its original charm and quality over time. The food has gone from great traditional pub grub... More

This was once a great place for food after a pleasant walk along the prom. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone now. So sad to see a good place go downhill so much. Better to walk round the corner towards the boat club and go to the bistro! More

Such a great location deserves a proper pub with at least decent service. The place has become awful in the last two years. Had a light lunch there last week. The waitress / barmaid brought out one coffee at a time 5 mins apart. The soup was straight from a tin. The coffees tasted like dishwater. The table was dirty.... More

The heading says it all, this place really should not be allowed to serve food. The bar staff disappear from behind the bar into the kitchen, maybe they do the cooking (sorry there is no cooking going on here). The place could be great, lovely atmosphere but so missing the point of providing good pub grub. Go for a drink... More

Went for lunch as food used to be great - tables sticky , floor filthy (had to stop my toddler from picking up things from it ) service terrible (bad attitude and no manners ,) food took ages to come - soup was obviously from a tin , tiny bowl and pathetic piece of bread with it , then ordered... went to Cramond with our three kids to have a play around the lovely area at the seafront and Cramond Island...it was suggested afterwards that we head to the Inn for a drink and something to eat....thats where the day started to go downhill rapidly....in a nutshell the pub is constrained by its association to the English Brewer Samuel Smith....or...
