Wow. This is something different but low key. There is a farmer, Jamie I think, who has a stall at this market but he doesn't sell anything. He just has conversations with people. When I was there. there was a real mix of people queuing up :Scottish, English, Russians, Polish, Spanish, Irish etc just to have a conversation with this... More

This is a really small market but with a nice friendly atmosphere. We went there last year but had already eaten so didn't try anything but this time we made a point of turning up hungry!! The stoats porridge is the best i've had, we also bought some oat bars and porridge oats from the same stall. The only thing... More

I came to visit the sites at Edinburgh. Didn't know I'd come across a farmers market. I go to my neighborhood one all the time. Nice to be able to keep my usual weekend routine. More

Held on Castle Terrace every Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm. The whole gammit of foodstuffs is available here, flowers, produce, bakery goods, fish, meats, poultry and preserves. Worth a visit, even if for nothing more than a couple of Scoth pies to take along as a portable lunch while hiking Arthur's Seat! More

Be sure to try the pork sandwiches, cracklins and all. We bought local cheeses, sausages and fruits as our travel snacks. We purchased several quality hand bags at a... More
