Well worth a visit, you can easily spend the day there, might be worth giving them a call for a list of forthcoming activities ans there is more to Callendar house than the house itself, the house is situated in Callendar Park which has a large play park for kids, crazy and normal golf, water boats, walks, firework displays and... I have previously reviewed the house but this update concerns the tearoom.Since our last visit to Callendar House, the tearoom has relocated into the Morning Room on the first floor of the house itself. Previously it was in small accommodation in the stable block area and this new location is certainly much more suitable. It's a beautiful room with leather... More

Visited Callendar House on Sunday, having not been for several years! I had heard the tea room had moved into the main house and thought it might be nice to have a bite to eat there! I was however a little dismayed as to why the house did not open until 2pm on a Sunday when the bouncy castle,go karts, crazy golf... More

We were really surprised at how great this place was. Lots of really interesting facts about the surrounding area. We spent a lot of time going through the housevand some staff were dressed up in georgian costumes. The girl in the kitchen was very good telling us a lot about life of a kitchen maid. There is a lovely cafe... More

What do you do with 3 children under 10 and the coldest afternoon in history in the easter holidays? By my reckoning, if you are in the area, you could do worse than visit calendar House in Falkirk. A historic stately home, now owned and operated by the local council, its a great way to wile away an afternoon. My... More

Whether you live locally or are passing through, Callendar House and the surrounding park are places that you have to go and see, espescially when the sun is shining. Surrounded by thick green woods with excellent trail paths for outdoor fanatics and dog walkers alike it is easy to see why the House is so pupular!

went to the tea house on Tuesday 9 April 2013, the food was lovely and the coffee was excellent. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. We were sat at a dirty table with other peoples dishes on. The girl came and took some dishes away and left the rest, the table was not even wiped. We ordered... More

callendar house is in our local town so I dont know why we have never visited before this. The house has had a complete renovation and was nice to have snack in the lovely morning room. We enjoyed looking at the rooms and then upstairs to the museum exhibits. We had lunch in the tea room. Coffee, sandwich and cake were... More

My girlfriend and I had a rainy afternoon to fill and decided to head to the House. Neither of us had been in for years so it was as if it was our first visit. We were there for around 2 hours. The house itself is gorgeous and often underappreciated by locals. Even if you are not going inside, it's... More

I was impressed by the amount of information there is, in the various rooms. 3 floors with a number of rooms and lots of information about the history of the house and Scotland in general. I particularly liked the models of the house and the villages. The working kitchen is fantastic and the cafe is very nice. Well worth a... More
