The concert we attended was too big to be in the armadillo so was in one of the side halls. Acoutics NOT good. Seating was a bit scruffy and the whole thing just fell a bit flat. If an artist I liked was here again, but was NOT in the main arena then I wouldn't go. More

My previous experience of conference centres is limited, but I have attended a few others. I was thoroughly impressed by the SECC, and my opportunities to criticise the venue are few. As a delegate the location is reasonable - not on the subway but walkable from the West End anyway, with a frequent, fast and cheap train service from central... More

Basically a large shed which offers poor acoustics. Over charge for tickets and refreshments. May be improved on at least the acoustics when The Hydro opens. More

Visited to see Dancing on Ice. Staff very professional, clean and tidy arena. Helpful ushers to show you to your seat. Most impressed by the number of ladies' toilets (compared to the Armadillo next door where the lines hardly seem to move). Means there isn't a huge rush at the interval and the queues move very quickly. Doesn't seem important... More

amazing this is the first time that i have been inside the armadillo and despite booking REALLY early - we have ended up in the very back row - right at the end. My little girl could hardly see Mr Tumble as the stage was so far away from our seat. this venue would be okay for a concert but... More

When built the SECC as it is now called was given the title "the Big Red Shed" by everyone that came across the venue, much to the annoyance of the City Council, however, over the years since this rather large building has been host to many Famous Artistes from the world of music and other genre. now being dwarfed by... Huge venue in Glasgow for concerts and exhibitions. As well as bars in the venue, there is a walkway linking it to the Crowne Plaza hotel. The railway station with links to the city centre and beyond is a 10 minute walk over a covered bridge. More

I love the SECC and regularly go there for concerts but the prices are so expensive! It costs about £8 for a double vodka and coke and the bar que was massive! Staff are great though, especially security! They take no risks but are also up for a laugh! More
