It is true what they said, Glengoyne Distillery is postcard pretty. There is a waterfall, lot of green, the building are shiny white. We were lucky enouch to arrived out of the bleu, on a wednesday, and lucky enough there was a tour starting in 30 minutes. We did the wee tasting tour, in fact, it wont be tasting as... More

We called in whilst walking the WHW. We arrived just after 12 noon and had missed the latest tour and with a wait of one hour and still some miles to travel, we decided to forego the tour on this occassion. We did visit the shop which was very interesting, made a few small purchases, had our WHW passports stamped... More

Went on a rainy May Sunday to take a tea tipple tour. It was cold and wet outside, so the welcome dram was especially welcome. I can say honestly that every single person working at Glengoyne that I encountered was warm and friendly. The tour of the facility was informative and entertaining. The tasting part of the tour gave us... More

We had a group tour of the distillery, which was well organised and informative. The location is stunning. With the whisky tasting, there was no real tasting notes given. There was a push towards selling very overpriced souvenirs and whisky. More

This place is a must for if you have visitors. Spent a very rainy afternoon here with friends visiting from “down south”. Great tour – very informative! Walks in the grounds and gift shop. Added bonus is the “wee free dram”. Must have been at least 10 times and fail to tire of it! More

I went here with my university and expected it to be dull. However it was very informative and interesting, and the tour guide was excellent. The whisky tasting at the end was a nice touch and the shop was fascinating and had a nice atmosphere. More

Having never been to a distillery and not liking whiskey i was dubious! it was a really interesting trip though and the grounds the distillery are set on are beautiful. Our guide was informative and keen for us to ask questions throughout. The tour was very resonably priced and the gift shop was full of great presents for friends and... More

Brillant, tour started with a wee dram, followed by a video on the distillery. Then our guide showed us around, taking us through the making of whiskey, watch out when you smell the casks, takes you by surprise! Not good for people who have walking disabilities as there are some stairs to climb. Definitley worth a visit.Afterwards visit the gift... More

Stopped off for a wee dram during our first day walking the West Highland Way and came away with a bottle of 12yr old. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff in the shop. Didn't have time for the tour which was a pity. Beautiful setting and easy access from Glasgow to the south. Worth a visit. More
