No trip to Glasgow is complete without visiting this award winning museum. I have been visiting there since 1996 and the more I see it the more I like it. I will be sad to see it close and move to the new museum as it will not be as good as the current one. I like the 1930s street... more

Ok....I know I should rave about all the historical trams, cars etc at the Transport museum but I need to spread the word...my partner and I had one of the best meals ever here....I know that it's a cafe....and yes it's based in the museum but we had a dish (have tried to remember the name of) a lamb stew... more

It gives a very good insight into social history - the recreation of the old Glasgow Subway (Underground) station... more

Free museum in Glasgow as most of them are and it is well worth a visit. Tube to Kelvinhall and follow the signs, it is close to the Kelvingrove Museum. Downstairs is all well and good (it comes to something when four of your cars and your only motorbike are on display) but the icing on the cake is the... more

Truly a great visit. Contained within are old buses and trams from the streets of Glasgow, steam trains, gypsy caravans and a large selection of old motor cars. Upstairs there is also a Clyde Room which contains models of hundreds of the many great ships built on the River Clyde. My personal favourite feature is the Glasgow 1938 street: a... more
