visited the provand's lordship which was near the cathedral. the different rooms in the house were filled with different displays and there was a short video which gave information on the history of the building. i must admit i felt a bit claustrophobic in there, but the displays were interesting and the house is incredibly well-preserved. i liked the st... The oldes house in Glasgow, this is a must see for history buffs like myself. Entrance fees are donation only and you are given a printout with some history on the building. It's a quick visit, you can move through the whole house in just under an hour and still see/read everything. When we went it was very very quiet... More

My partner and I only had one day to explore Glasgow and were told that you could get a good view over the city from up near the Cathedral. It was on the way back down that we stumbled upon the Provand's Lordship and we're glad we did! Inside we were introduced to the history of this building built in... More

Even my 90 yr old mum climbed up the three floor. Fascinating place to visit and can tie it up with a visit to the Cathedral across the road which has a cafe. We must not let these places deteriorate. More

The oldest building in Glasgow and well worth a visit. Fascinating building with very good information available. Cross across the main street to the Cathedral to continue your tour and have coffee in the museum next door to the cathedral More

I had the Provands's Lordship to myself as I walked up just as it opened. Neat way to see it as you can soak in what it was like to live in these rooms. Fee is a donation only so really quite a deal. More

Hidden away and not well promoted, but what great history and so well kept. Watch your head, as I'm 6ft and gave myself a sore one with the low beams! A lot of things to see in that location so well worth the visit along with the surrounding attractions! More
