The Burrell Collection is something that Glasgow should be very proud of....its certainly worth taking 3 or 4 hours to spend touring the many room..... Tearoom is limited and always busy. Train station 8 minutes walk, as well as frequent buses to the city centre. More

Never mind the contents, at least until later - look at the building. Situated on the edge of open parkland with a prize herd of highlwand cattle browing nearby the building to house the Burrell Collection is a masterpiece of design. Totally modern,it encompanses great open airy spaces and intimate areas of seclusion where the eclectic Burrell Collection can be... More

Some interesting stuff but overall the collection lacks focus. The diversity of objects is too wide with no one subject covered in depth. Ok, but would not rush back. Restaurant very limited and not well maintained - the girl cleaning the tables simply brushed the crumbs etc onto the chairs and floor! Toilets leave room for improvement to a satisfactory... More

The collections of Burrell total So many, it's hard to keep count. There are so many works of art, tapestries, armour, I could go on. WELL worth a visit, and free entrance. More

An amazing collection of artefacts under one roof. One visit will never be sufficient to take it all in. You will want to return... over and over again. More

Lovely parkland setting; excellent collection of, in particular, late 19th century French art (Rodin & Degas especially) and Egyptian antiquities. More
