Linn park situated on the south-side of Glasgow, between Cathcart and Castlemilk with Netherlee on at the far end heading away from the city, is an awsome part of "country-side" in an urban part of Scotland. There is great wildlife too, rangeing from tiny mice to fully growen deer stag. (100% wild) Which roam in from the ajoining cathkin braes...

train, bus or car.
Has a variety of walks along The Cart river, which is home to a large selection of wildlife incl. herons.
Has play areas, stables and lots of mud if u venture of the paths.
Follow the walkway to Cathcart and you will see "greek" Thompsons...
