Visited the David Livingstone Centre for the first time in over 30 years. I wasn't disappointed in re-visiting with my own teenager. Very interesting information of a dedicated, educated and committed man to a work he felt called to do. He is an inspiration, having brought himself out of poverty to leave such a legacy. The staff are very knowledgeable... More

Having first sat at the feet of David Livingstone's statue at Victoria Falls we had to visit here. What a great place to go with the kids! Train station near by and the entry price was great. But take a packed lunch for the kids, as there is great sitting areas for the family in the grassy grounds. The local village "Blantyre" is well worth a vist to! More

Shuttle row, where David Livingston lived is a block of 18th/19th century tenement flats in Blantyre. The missionary lived in one room of this block and the whole block now forms a wonderful museum which details the life and times of the great missionary and is powerfully evocative of his African experience.
