Hadn't been to the Barras in years and decided to give it a go. Nothing worth buying, shoddy merchandise at high prices and an overall waste of time. More

Visited the barras today (12.05.12) managed to get a parking space next to glasgow green and it was free and just a short walk to the barras. This place is a collection of crap! Plain and simple. Imagine the worst yard or garage sale; now imagine it spread over a couple city blocks. It was dirty, nasty, had nothing worth getting. We couldn't wait to get out of there. Trust me; don't go. More

The market is much smaller then when I was at it a few years ago, but it is still fun. I love to look for unique secondhand items, and was not disappointed. It seems to be starting later in the day, it really did not get going until almost 11am! More

The Market it's self has more stallholders and people coming in for week-ends to clear out there clothing/household ware/furniture etc. My family are going to start going down every month now it was only from time to time we... My sister and I had the oppertunity to experiance the Barras while we were on a holiday to Scotland in 2005. It was alot of fun. The vendors were informitive and helpful. They gave us advice on other sight-seeing excursions. I bought a pair of sandles there, that were so wonderful, that the next summer I asked my friend, who... More
