Visited the barras today (12.05.12) managed to get a parking space next to glasgow green and it was free and just a short walk to the barras. Desided to go to the baras as it was start of jan and you defo get a good bargain the weather was alright but was not that busy.
Anyone that goes mind and park in the waste ground next to glasgow green you won't have to use the parking meters....

This place is a collection of crap! Plain and simple. Imagine the worst yard or garage sale; now imagine it spread over a couple city blocks. It was dirty, nasty, had nothing worth getting. We couldn't wait to get out of there. Trust me; don't go.

not been in a wile but used to go most weekends not many bargins now but some stuff is intresting. u can pick anything. also if u park on the waste ground just outside the barras its free but its always busy

The market is much smaller then when I was at it a few years ago, but it is still fun. I love to look for unique secondhand items, and was not disappointed. It seems to be starting later in the day, it really did not get going until almost 11am!

Many years ago teh Barras was the place to go, full of real characters and occassional bargains. It was exciting and great. Today is is absoluitely rubbish with loads of the usual typical clothes stalls all selling tha same stuff as it all comes from the same supplier in asia , there are no characters and there is no character....

My sister and I had the oppertunity to experiance the Barras while we were on a holiday to Scotland in 2005. It was alot of fun. The vendors were informitive and helpful. They gave us advice on other sight-seeing excursions.
