We had a great day away on the Waverley, mixture of sun and rain but plenty space to hide from the showers and still have a great time. The staff onboard were all friendly, we had a good meal which was not expensive and later a coffee in the bar. The kids loved watching what was happening in the engine... More

It was difficult to reach the science centre for the day trip on the waverley when travelling by public transport. We arrived on a sunny Friday morning to be greeted by friendly staff. The Waverley left on time. It is a lovely day out with plenty of interesting sights to see with commentary in the back ground. The ship kept... More

We went on the Waverley from Greenock and it was a really good way to travel and get to see some of the fabulous scenery on the trip to Bute. Good fun and lots of nice travelling companions to chat with and enjoy their company. A great piece of engineering and a very pleasant way to spend a whole day... More

I try to go a sail on the Waveley each year and my favourite is The Wednesday trip from Largs to Rothesay up the Kyles of Bute to Tighnabruich then on to Loch Fynne and Tarbert. This year I picked one of the best day's weatherwise with warm brilliant sunshine for the 8 hour trip and a marvellous one and... More

A gorgeous summer dayin June 2011 greeted us at Greenock as the Waverley arrived on time from Glasgow on her Saturday trip to Greenock, Helensburgh, Dunoon , Rothesay and through the Kyles of Bute to Tignabruich. The boat was well populated with the crew friendly to all. The kids 11 and 8 loved sitting upp on the funnels and thoroughly... More

Went on the Waverley Cruise on Friday 6th August 2010. The boat left the Science Centre at 10am, let passengers on and off at Kilcreggan and Dunoon, then stopped for just over an hour at Rothesay, returning to Glasgow at 5.30 pm. It was up-to-time the whole day; very punctual. The weather - sadly - was very rainy in the... More

There is no way I would ever book through Waverley again or recommend them to anyone. Earlier this year the Tall Ships came to Belfast and Waverley advertised cruises to 'Sail With the Long Ships' when they left Belfast Lough on their way home. I was so excited at the prospect and we decided to book straight away although the... More
