When I first heard about the Willow Tea Room I wasn't sure if it was actually a functioning tea room or a museum of Mackintosh design. In fact it it both, with delightful staff in a gorgeously-designed room with wonderful Mackintosh mirrors. We had coffee and cake there, although you can have lunch or tea as well. Such a shame... The high back chairs and art postcards aren't enough to make up for dry scones and stale atmosphere. Clearly geared towards tourists and not return customers. More
