It's in a beautiful part of Scotland and the Estate has a wealth of diversity. It's not too commercial, but it still manages to enthrall you with its range of activities and adventures. Four seasons in one day does nothing to dampen my enthusiasm for Rothiemurchus and the Cairngorms. more

We were staying nearby at the Loch Insh Watersports centre, and wished we hadn't! It is run by very unpleasant people and not all the equipment is properly maintained. Rothiemurchus provided a splendid contrast: really lovely staff were very welcoming and accommodating of everyone's needs. We've just come home after a short break in Aviemore and felt that we just had to write a review to let people know what a great time we had at the Rothiemurchus estate... and in particular to mention how great all the staff were! While staying in Aviemore, we discovered the Rothiemurchus Estate. We are mum, dad, son(15yrs) & daughter (12yrs). We were impressed with the activities it had to offer. Firstly, Loch an Eileen is a pretty loch with castle ruins. It is possible to walk around the full length of the loch. Sadly we did not have time to do this, but... more
