I came on the tour as a part of a Spring Break trip and therefore as part of a class, and I felt that it was maybe the most educational activity that we did. My two instructors were very knowledgeable about the area, but Tony Harmsworth and John really did know much more than I honestly anticipated. We spent the... More

It was our first visit to Scotland and, because I am an English teacher, I wanted to take the 'Macbeth' tour in particular. We booked it up last - minute and and did not know what to expect. We hoped that it would be a good experience but were not prepared for the truly amazing time that we had. Our... More

Having recently taken my group of Girl Guides from Kent on a Loch Ness tour with Tony I have to say it was a suberb experience. He arranged a cruise on the Loch for us and a visit to Urquhart Castle too. Tony was very knowlegable an interesting and he kept the girls entertained with his stories of the Loch... More

George was very informative, gave a great tour of places my daughter and I would never have known were there. He was knowledgeable and fun. My 13 year old was very impressed. We took loads of photos, George knew where the best places were to get views. Definitely couldn't have got to lots of the places without a very canny... More

Our group of six went on two tours with George Munro - one full day to Fort William and the Glenfinnan Viaduct, and the other was a half day tour of Urquhart Castle and cruise on Loch Ness. Geoge was a fountain of knowledge and accommodating in all aspects. We all enjoyed both tours and learnt so much from George.... More

Thank you for that great review. The trip to Glenfinnan is always a lovely excursion. Some use it as a pilgrimage to find out where Bonnie Prince Charlie is supposed to have raised his standard in 1745. Others just marvel at the Harry Potter features - the historic railway viaduct, the scenery from flying sequences and the location of the... More

Hugh should win an award for being so patient with two Brazilian with an english somewhat ...doubtful!! We start our tour from Beauly which is so cute and full of stories and Hugh all the time explaining historical facts, curiosities about towns, villages, castles and clans that were going through. Than we took a freezing boat trip throught the Loch... More

We're so glad you enjoyed your two day tour of the Highlands. We don't get too many Brazilians in the Highlands, but assume you were here to learn how to play soccer? I am often asked which tours should be done if the visitors only have a couple of days and you did both of them. Loch Ness and Glen... More

If you are in Inverness you must absolutely, without a doubt do a tour with Inverness Day Tours. We were able to secure our tour with Hugh last minute and what a stroke of luck that turned out to be. He was an engaging storyteller with an unbelievable grasp and knowledge of highland history. We were fascinated and seven hours... More

Haha, you said it was last minute, you really meant it. We didn't get your booking until 9am on the day of the tour! I can just imagine Hugh shaving, preparing the car and his weapons, leaving the house, fuelling and still getting to your B&B before 10am. Would have been interesting to be a fly on the wall of... We did a one day tour with Hugh which was absolutely amazing. Hugh had so many interesting stories and kept us entertained the entire trip including while he was driving through the snow storm!! Even with the weather we were able to see lots and learned a ton. Tony and Hugh helped us plan our trip with tips on which... More

Haha, that is a great review especially as you had to actually push the car out of a snowdrift at one point! Glen Affric is a stunning place to visit in the snow. Just like a Christmas Card. But safety is always number one and we always let each other know if we are heading into the side glens in... More

We had been to Inverness earily in the year, and decided to go back purely to visit the Cairngorm Mountains. I organised the trip with Tony, and he allocated George to be our guide. George met as as arranged, and asked us what do we want to see, and which places etc. We left it to his discretion, and we... More

Thanks for that great review. I note that George joined you for lunch. The rest of us know he has hollow legs so I hope the restaurant bill was not too excessive! George loves showing the Highlands to his passengers and we don't get that many who want to go into the Grampians so it makes it even more enjoyable... More
