This was a great cruise in variable weather (it rained a lot). Despite this there were several hill walks (including Munros) that you could choose to take part in. My legs ached horribly. I mean, up to15 miles in a day - up hill and down dale. I got soaking wet. And they got this townie into a canoe! I loved every minute!! Fantastic opportunity of travelling the Caledonion canal without any hassle. Take a trip on this lovely renovated old barge. Lots of opportunity for exploring plus loads of activities that you can do to burn off some of the calories built up from three good meals each day on board. Travelling through the beautiful Caledonian Canal on a converted barge is a once in a lifetme experience. Add to that good food, very friendly crew and amicable passengers and you cannot beat it. You need to be fairly agile to conquer the steep steps and not expect pure luxury in the cabins. More
