I loved this bookstore and coffeeshop! The bookstore is amazing and looks like a library out of a fairy tale. I found some amazing deals there on early editions of my favorite books, and spent half a day browsing through other interesting books. The food in the coffeeshop is great, too. Highly recommend to book-lovers and those looking to relax... More

Even if you don't want to look for books, check out this bookstore in a old church. There's a very small cafe at the top with a great view of the whole place. We had lunch, good soup and home made bread along with cappuccino, then browsed for awhile. Books are not organized too well, but it's fun to look.

Second hands pilled high. Restaurant is very nice and simple. Great source for prints (one wonder what happened to all the associated books...) - if you like second hand book shop, this is the place to go.

Shot in and out of here today because I had heard so much about it. Only had time for a bowl of steaming hot home made soup and fresh crusty bread and butter but I must say I was impressed. The bookshop is housed in an old church so its very atmospheric and when you are sitting in the upstairs... More

Incredibly cool bookshop with thousands of books. They have categorized the book sections, but it is very minimal; and if you are looking for a particular book or type of book it might take awhile to find. But besides that, the book collection is numerous and interesting. I would definitely recommend it to any book store lovers.

Actual book shop is amazing but the cafe was a big let-down for me. Baked potato with a side salad was a joke, more like a salad with a side potato. And for £6, a total rip off. Teeny tiny portions will not encourage customers to return and neither will the grubby toilets. A real shame.

Went to Leakeys to have lunch. Was completely blown away by the Space. A Converted Church. Perfect space to be a Book Shop and a Cafe, An Enormous Wood Burner heats the Space. Big piles of Logs are stacked next to Piles of Books. Cafe is on the Mezzanine. I insisted on having a seat next to the Edge just... More

Leakey's is a great setting and I only passed through briefly. However, the cost of the books was a lot higher than I had seen in other bookshops in Glasgow and Edinburgh. There were a selection of books that I had looked at online (Amazon) for 3-7GBP and purchased in bookshops in the above cities for half that price and... More

There's something really civilised about a book store with a coffee shop inside, and it would have been nice to have enjoyed a break from browsing this enormous selection of books with a warm drink. Unfortunately we didn't get the chance! It wasn't particularly busy, and we were shown to a table straight away; another couple were also then seated... More

Loved the store, selections great and a very wide variety of subjects plus prints and drawings; the staff was so very helpful, ate there also and the food was great!
