    High-end bikes performed exceptionally
Top-notch bikes maintained by a friendly and well-informed team. We hired bikes to go to Muir of Ord, back, then onto Clava Cairns and back. The electric bike had *just* ran out of juice at that point but it lasted for a good 6 hours going up hills. Although the bikes are slightly pricier than alternatives, you definitely get what you pay for - this was a real quality experience.
Thanks for choosing our service. It sounds like you made the most of the bikes and your available time to really explore the area. eBike range can be affected by many factors and it is difficult to predict accurately but 50 miles seems to be reasonably consistently achieved. We're conscious that our prices are higher than some other places but we know what our costs are and really couldn't deliver a standard of service we'd be content with for less. Having just spent a few days in London with my own family I am well aware of how expensive a holiday can be these days and how difficult it can be to choose an activity. Thanks for giving us your business, I'm really please you were satisfied with your choice.

Rented Bikes for Etape Loch Ness
The team at Ticket to Ride was very responsive to my request to rent 2 bikes for a couple of days, to participate in Etape Loch Ness. The bikes were in perfect working order, and pretty comfortable for the 66mile ride. They removed unnecessary equipment, provided repair equipment and replaced the pedals with SPD’s.
Glad we could help with bike hire for Etape Loch Ness. Sorry we couldn't help with the weather. Hope you can return for a more spring-like event in 2024. Thanks for the great review.

    Etape Loch Ness
My wife and I hired bikes from Ticket to Ride for the Etape Loch Ness. Richard, Charlie and the team were fantastic and a pleasure and easy to work with, despite us coordinating from the US. The bikes were in pristine condition and they accommodated all our requests (mirrors, racks, etc). They offered helpful suggestions on rides to “test” our cycles prior to the event and were available for any needed adjustments. Their central location is also fantastic and convenient. Would hire again from TTR in a heartbeat. Great experience.
Hope you have good memories of the chilly Etape Loch Ness this year. Thanks for taking the time to leave such a full review. Hope you can return to explore the area a bit more. Cycling through Speyside and the Moray Coast is great.

    5* Bike Rental
Hired road bike for NC500 from Strathcarron to Kylesku, arguably the tougher part. Bikes - Trek Domane AL4 - exactly as specc'd on website. Lights, tube and repair tools, all part of the package, bags available too if needed. The team were very helpful and friendly, and had good knowledge of the route for tips etc. I would certainly return if we were to be back for more of the NC500 ! Plenty helpful info and links on the website for whatever outing you are planning.
Thanks for the 5 star review on bike hire for the NC500. Cycling the North Coast 500 is tough so our hire bikes need to be up to the job. Glad we could help.

    Well run operation
A great bike rental operation. The pick up and drop off of our 5 bikes was seamless, with just enough instruction to get us on our way. Bikes were in great condition and high spec ( Treks Inc one ebike). Reasonable hire rates as well. Highly recommend. Kieran's Cape Wrath gang.
Thanks for sharing the photo of your trip and for leaving such a great review. It is important to have reliable bikes when you explore the most remote parts of the country. Glad we could help.

    Great service and bike
Bike hire was great, friendly service, and bike all set up as I requested. Excellent bike. Cycled Bealach na Ba, well to be honest I walked some up, cycled most. But felt confident with bike on ascents and descents. Other rides around northern most Scotland
Thanks for the great review! The bealach na Ba is definitely one of the hardest climbs in the UK! We are glad you felt confident on our bikes as that is our goal!

The ticket to ride team were incredibly helpful and accommodating of my self guided cycle to John o groats. They gave lots of advice before, were really helpful at the shop and supportive. Can't recommend highly enough. Oh and the touring bike was great.
Well done on completing the big cycle ride. Thanks for the great review, we're only small team and it means a lot to us.

Brilliant bikes, great service, lovely people
We've hired bikes from Ticket to Ride quite a few times now, and it's always been a completely enjoyable experience. It's very nice that they remember us, even though we're only there once or twice a year. And they're always happy to chat about where we are going, about anything to do with the bikes, etc. They set the bikes up so well, they're really comfortable and ride really nicely, and they expertly and quickly make any adjustments that might be needed. We were lucky because we booked really quite last-minute, and actually this had a very happy consequence for us: we weren't able to book the bikes on the train back to Inverness at the end of our holiday like we usually do. So we booked Ticket to Ride to transport us and the bikes back from Strathcarron. Ticket to Ride were also able to arrange this at not very much notice, which was great. But the best thing of all was how that pickup made such a lovely end to our holiday. Stella, one of their dedicated drivers, was so friendly and nice (and arrived in very good time) - and with a deep knowledge of the Highlands, cycling, and much else. So we had a wonderful conversation as we headed back to Inverness: she did this at the same time as providing a really comfortable ride through the not always easy roads that track from West to East. Thanks so much to Stella and everyone else at Ticket to Ride, for yet another great hire. We can't wait to return...
Our service revolves around providing good quality bikes and equipment that are safe reliable. Reviews unsurprisingly often focus on the bikes (which we can take some credit for) and the journeys and landscapes (for which credit lies elsewhere). The bike hire process often involves transactional and technical discussions but there is more time to get to know our transport customers and this part of the job is often the most fun. I've been fortunate to recruit colleagues who are genuinely happy to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for the Scottish Highlands and we learn a lot from the experiences of our customers. Thanks for taking the time to share your kind and considered comments. Hope to catch you on your next trip north.

    Wonderful
Cycled from Inverness to Orkney doing 450 km’s and 3000 meters of climbing along the way. Endured torrential rain and strong winds. But the bike remained perfect. Gears and brakes were spot on. Didn’t even get a puncture. Really happy about the bike and the hire from Ticket to Ride. Would hire from them again.
Thanks for the great review despite the "authentic" Highland weather conditions. Shame you missed the weeks of sunny warm weather in May/June. Better luck next time I hope!

Great service, very well maintained bikes and super helpful staff
Excellent service in so many ways! Very well maintained bike, good advice on alternative roads and excellent communication overall with all the staff. Would definitely recommend Ticket to Ride to everyone planning a cycling trip in the Highlands.
Recommendations really count so thanks very much for that. I'm glad we were able to support your cycling trip to the Highlands.

I flew to Scotland to participate in a one day cycle from the Skye Bridge to the Kessock Bridge to raise money and awareness for Dream Believe Achieve Highlands and the Elsie Normington Foundation. As much as I'd like to have brought my own bike, airline fees and hassle made it an easy decision to hire a bike from Ticket to Ride. They stock decent touring bikes - Trek Domane - and had it all ready when I arrived to puck it up. I brought my own pedals, shoes, and helmet. They had it kitted out with spare tubes and tools. Nice guys to deal with. No complaints whatsoever.
Many thanks.

Arriving in Inverness for a North Coast 500 ride with my daughter, my personal bike had a mechanical failure - I thought our trip was over before it started. Luckily the great folks at Ticket to Ride bike hire saved the day. At very short notice they prepared a gravel bike for me that was perfect for the ride. Swapped all my bags, Wahoo element, and more over and off we went on an amazing trip. Superb customer service - so helpful and responsive!

I am a 76 year old man who rides an e-bike at home.
Ticket to Ride helped me see sights around Inverness without renting a car or booking a tour. I did take a guided tour of Culloden Battlefield.
Ticket to Ride provided a Trek e-bike that was better than I expected. The Bosch mid drive worked great. The battery had plenty of range.
They suggest three easy rides in their brochure, and each one is scenic with light traffic or protected bike paths. I did all three over three days.
I kept the bike overnight at my lodging in Inverness. The walk assist feature helped me get the bike up to the first floor.

In April we rented bikes for two weeks to explore the north of Scotland. We sticked mostly to the NC 500 but changed the route sometimes because of too much traffic or heavy winds. We had absolutely no problems with the bikes, not even a flat tyre on rougher trails. Beside the bikes we got panniers and useful high-vis helmets. The panniers were big enough to carry all the things we needed, but couldn't stand really heavy rains (a plasticbag inside helped). Luckily we could leave some of our stuff in our backpacks at the store and collect them after our return. We had a really good time and enjoyed most parts of the trip very much, also because the bikes were really good. Thanks alot to the Crew for their caring and many tips!

We are Glad you enjoyed your trip around the NC500, The NC500 can be a bit busy especially on the east coast on the A9 which can be avoided if you come back through the middle inland and has equally if not better scenery and it is a lot more quieter and enjoyable. The review is greatly appreciated

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Navigation can be a bit of a worry when visiting a new area and even more so when traveling under your own "steam". We've always had a small range of paper maps but increasingly customers are following route suggestions on apps like RideWithGPS and Komoot.

I'm not a great cyclist but my husband is so we decided to give the Loch Ness 360 a crack.
It was tough at times but I loved all of it! T he scenery, the quietness and the adventure was worth all the tough moments.
I highly recommend it to anyone who is reasonably fit and the bikes from Ticket to Ride were perfect.

"Tough but worth it" is a really concise description of what cycling the Loch Ness 360 is all about. It can be made a little less tough by hiring an eBike for the Loch Ness 360 but it would be no less rewarding. Thanks for the great feedback and five star review.

Thanks everyone at Ticket to Ride for helping us with our Great Glen ride, the bikes were great, the bag transfer was efficient and the lifts to the start and from the end all worked fantastically.

Glad you enjoyed your Great Glen Way mountain bike trip. It is a tough route but I think the conditions were generally favourable. Bag transfers are always a good idea on cycle trips especially over hilly terrain. Hope you can explore some more , maybe Speyside and Moray Coast next time?
