Absolutely fantastic. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and well appointed, the food was amazing and the hospitality faultless. The rangers' knowledge was extensive and they were as helpful and informative as it was possible to be. The icing on the cake was being accompanied by Johnny Kingdom who brought expertise and a lot of humour to the week-end. The prices... More

In the past I have visited with school children. The Rangers are friendly and well-informed.It's the ideal outdoor centre for children and adults. There are open days about twice yearly where you can wander the gardens and grounds and have a wonderful tea with sandwiches and cakes. You can also eat in the long hall in the house which is full of interesting... by Callum Rodger (age 11) This was my first holiday away without my family, and I came here last week for 6 days with my school. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and Lady Lucy was really nice to us all (and she makes GREAT chocolate cupcakes). We did many activities here, walking, boat trips, castles, visiting the hides and... More

The Aigas staff and rangers were welcoming, enthusiastic, extremely well informed, accommodating. I learned an incredible amount about the history, culture, people, and antiquities of the area. Everyday had a talk at Magnus House or a field trip in the local area or even to Orkney and Isle of Skye. I had traveled from the US to experience what the... More

My sister and I joined the Highland House Party on the last week of the 2011 programme. Although the weather was wet and windy, the warmth of the hospitality was superb. The 7 young rangers were outstanding - kind, caring, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the history, flora and fauna of the area. Our days were full and varied, and... More

What a lovely holiday! A very warm welcome from Sir John and Lady Lucy and their lovely staff. The rangers are a mine of information on the wildlife, history, archaeology and geology of the area. Acommodation is comfortable and the food delicious. The wildlife was amazing to see and we are now proud owners of binoculars which we take to... More

This wonderful part of the Highlands is rich in wildlife, however without the skill and professionalism of the Aigas rangers it can be difficult to see. Because the rangers are excellent we had wonderful views of Golden Eagle, Crested Tit, Osprey, Pine Marten and Wildcat. Our domestic needs were catered for in an equally splendid way by the staff at... More

Comfortable accomodation and excellent food in a superb setting. We were taken out in a minibus every day by young, enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable rangers who couldn't do enough for us. The attitude at Aigas is: "If you want anything, just ask". We saw beavers, badgers, wildcats, dolphins and a pine marten, and ccountless birds, but otters and white tailed... More

As soon as I drove into the car park to be met by a smiling ranger I had just the best time. The food was excellent, all requests catered for without problem. The rangers were great company, very engaging and informative and although I knew the area a little they showed me places I had never seen before. The mini-buses... More

Staying in the grounds of Aigas House is a wildlife treat in itself. The accommodation in timber lodges and surrounded by beautiful scenery was only the start. The young team of rangers were well organised, cheerful and extremely knowlegable about the local wildlife and history of the region. They made each daily outing a fascinating event. Rather than being on... More
