Went there on a Sunday morning on our way home from a weekend break. The castle itself was pretty interesting, the staff could have been a little more cordial, but the reason may well have been the fact that we shared our visit to this fairly small castle, with very narrow 'one person at a time' staircases, with eight coachloads... more

This place was absolutely beautiful! Make sure you go and see it. We had the picture blown up and now in our Family Room. One of our favorite views in all of Scotland. What a great setting! more

As a resident of London, the trip to Eilean Donan Castle consists of a car journey of around 500 miles. But it is well worth the time and effort.
