This year we were very lucky to visit the Ring of Brodgar on a sunny August day. I had always wanted to visit here, and at last one of my dreams came true – and I was not disappointed. The ring of Brodgar is an amazing structure and well worth a visit if you've made it to Orkney! The purple hues of the wild heather stand in contrast to the soft green landscapes. The sky seems to go on forever in this place. It is very peaceful and curious. more

Entering the RIng of Brodgar was like taking a step back in time. The rugged stone henge and its contrast with the harsh coastal environs of Orkney convey a sense of timelessness.
