You could from hypothermia as the hotel would not even offer a hot drink in a blizzard. NOT what one expects in Highland Perthshire More

Rannoch moor was calm, quiet and as remote as you can get. No traffic on the road, passed 2 walkers only. Senery outstanding and loved the isolation. A great place to get away from it all. More

Since the road ends at Rannoch Station, there is not a lot of through traffic, other than the occasional train; but get away from the road and experience the solitude which the moor offers. Try taking the train to Corrour Halt and walking back by Loch Ossian and over the hills back to the Rannoch Station road - a few... More

I have motorcycled over rannoch moore in driving rain and winds trying to blow you off the road making you feel isolated in a alien enviroment.Have ridden over rannoch on a summers day where all you can hear is a distant car,a place of extremes, beauty and isolation.Arriving at rannoch station from the pitlochery side of the country is a... The clue is in the name. Rannoch moor station must be one of the most remote stations in Scotland, great if you are a walker, as it is in the middle of nowhere, but is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland. More
