I call it the Robbie Burns walking tour. Donald - WOW ! He is Robbie Burns ! Dressed in period costume and quite charming, mostly walked backwards whilst telling the tale of poor Tam. He puts you right there with Tam !! and he was kind enough to explain to this Texan what parts I didn't understand... I cannot recommend... more

I first visited the area as a tourist, though am now lucky enough to be a local. I loved my first tour of Burns Cottage and Museum, which is at the heart of Alloway Village, a mile the Ancient Burgh of Ayr.
