You need to choose your day for this place, check the weather and sea forecasts. It's about 6 miles out from Mull, that's half an hour or so in quite a small boat. There is a small harbour, but landing, and close approach to the cave by sea, are weather dependant.

I would say one of the most fantastic days out ever. Wonderful place. Rock formations. Basalt polygons. The puffins and dolphins were an extra bonus. No wonder Felix Medelsson wrote a symphony.
