Easy access and wonderful view. It is only a side view, but even so, it is a quick and enjoyable stop along the drive to somewhere else and a beautiful one none the less. More

Pretty waterfall. Great for photos. Go to it if your in the area. Don't make a special trip out of your way to go to it. Apparently it's spectacular in the rain. More

This is merely a photo op. There is a car park that allows you to experience the geological formations of kilt rock and the waterfall in front. There is not much more to see than that which sounds disappointing. Its really not as the pay off far exceeds the effort. I wouldn't make a special trip but if you are... More

Kilt Rock, on the north east peninsula of Trotternish is a great stop off point, about 1 mile south of Staffin on the A855. A good sized car park should allow adequate parking. Although named Kilt Rock after the shape of the rock formations on the coast, that's just part of the attraction. There is also a large waterfall that... More

Driving the coastal route on the Isle of Skye must be anti clockwise direction to take better advantage of the scenery ahead. Along the way from Portree is Kilt Rock with a great viewing platform perched on the edge of the cliffs offering a superb view in every direction including straight down. The waterfall and the unbelievable rock formations make... More

Well worth a stop when driving past, the impressive cliff structure with it's vertical 'pleated' formations going steeply down into the sea. good interpretation provided in the carpark so that you knew what you were looking at. The long waterfall was quite impressive too. More

adequate waterfall, nice to see, not worth making a special trip to it but worthy of a short pit stop if you're passing. it's hard to get a bad view in Skye but to single out Kilt Rock as worthy of special car parking and much signage is a bit over the top in my humble opinion. More

Brilliant when it's been raining...it's like a natural overflow pipe to the island.Maybe that description doesn't do it justice. the rock formations look like a kilt so I'll leave the imagery to yourselves. Part of a trail around the island that is breathtaking. Don't wear a long padded coat like I did though..the wind caught it and it almost blew... More
