My partner and I went to the Armadale Castle and Gardens with my mother, brother and his 13 year old son. We enjoyed wandering through the castle ruins and around the gardens, which are beautiful. The museum and gift shop are good too, although we didn't spend much time there. We had lunch at the Stables Restaurant, which unfortunately was...

We went for a day trip to the south of the island as we have been round the north a few times. The Gardens were great except from a couple little presents that had been left by ignorant dog owners. And a teenage daughter that doe not look where she is going!! The museum was pretty interesting but a lot...

We were lucky to have nice weather for our September visit to Armadale, so we could enjoy the beautiful grounds although our time there was limited. The visitor center/museum is interesting and well-done, but I didn't spend much time inside. There are nature trails on the grounds where a person could hike all day. One trail takes an hour, and...

We went around the castle recently & loved the area. As has been stated before, the castle is not great but the grounds are lovely.
The museum is very nice & even the shops are worth a visit.
Reasonably priced at £6.95 each.

We visited in October, and the colours of the trees on the woodland walks were just spectacular. I think these...

Armadale castle, gardens and museum are an excellent package for a...

The Clan Donald Visitor's Centre is really quite interesting and the gardens are beautiful even in the fall but the castle itself is nothing special.
The visitor's centre is a well designed and informative walk through the history and importance of the Clan. Neither my wife or I have any relation to the Donald clan and we still found the...

This was our last stop while visiting Skye on honeymoon. We loved walking the beautiful gardens and grounds of Armadale. If you have the opportunity you should go.
