Visited with children aged 3-8 on a wet day in October. We've been going to Skye regularly for 15 years but never got as far as Glendale. It's a fantastic place, absolutely crammed with toys, and amazing that you can play with most of them. We stayed far longer than we expected and particularly enjoyed the guided tour, so many... More

The Glendale Toy Museum is lots of fun. Housed in the front two rooms of the owners' home, it is packed full of toys and books - like Santa's workshop come to life. The owners clearly enjoy their toys and gladly demonstrate them to visitors - and let visitors try the toys, too. A variety of people were there during... More

The couple who run this are great. They have stories about each toy, magic tricks, the vast majority able to be played with and the kids loved it. Actually I think the adults enjoyed even more than them. More

absolutely fantastic for grown ups and children alike a great shame it will be closing as the museum is like no other as the owners show great enthusiasm for the toys and showing them in use and letting you play with them aswell also great value well worth the drive to get there, thanks for a great afternoon. We had a lovely time here, went on a nice day, so it was quiet and we had a tour of all the contents of the museum. There were lots of toys to see, likely something for every generation, and some of the simpler more traditional toys were available to buy, very reasonably priced. Cash only proposition. Run by a... I've visited this museum a few times and can honestly say I think it is the best museum in the world!! When we pulled up to it the first time thought that owing to it's size it'd be a lovely place to spend 15 mins but I think we were there for over 2 hours reliving our childhood!! It has... More

This is a lovely little toy museum to while away a couple of hours. The owner has lovingly collected some truly wonderful toys that amazed our children and took us back 30 odd years!! Would recommend to all. More

This is an eccentric place and not for the masses. It is out of the way, and the road is bad. But we certainly enjoyed it! The owner gave us a lot of his time, and added greatly to the experience. We like old toys and for us it was great, and something we will remember. More

This is a museum that words alone cannot describe it as it grabs your emotions and makes you remember those times when everything was a lot simpler, no matter how old you are you will feel like a child again after visiting this museum. The Museum is set to close at the end of the 2012 season due to owners... More
