We were on a CIE tour so had little choice of where to visit, but this was definitiely one of the highlights. Be sure you take BOTH trails, one left and one right. They are each unique in their own way. Loved the visit!

My husband and I visited the Cliffs of Moher yesterday. We did not take a guided tour, but drove ourselves and arrived around 3:30pm in the afternoon. It was sunny and quite warm/hot outside. We're from Atlanta, Ga, so to say it was hot is a stretch for me, but it was much warmer than we anticipated. Forget all the...

I travelled here on a guided tour so I wasn't charged for the parking nor entrance fee, but the cliffs are beautiful. The man working at my hostel said they were, "okay." But this was unlike anything I've seen in real life (and I come from the state where the Grand Canyon is!) Maybe try going on a guided tour...

...from the parking lot, but well worth it. The view really takes your breath away. Windy as can be there -- visited three times now, and the wind was always blowing pretty hard. Be sure to see O'Brien's Tower as well.

We even enjoyed the cafe and geological exhibit in the new visitor center built into the hillside. But we thought the nearby shops, more prominent than the visitor center entrance, were an unfortunate man-made addition to...

the cliff have been there a while now. and are well worth going to look at at any time of he year. the visitors centre is very good but the pricing is too high.
the best thing to do would be to enjoy a nice walk before lunch/dinner and walk up there.

We stopped here on our 10 day All Ireland tour with Paddywagon Tours (highly recommended). Friends of ours had been here a few years ago and pictures (theirs and now ours) certainly don't capture the beauty and the height of the cliffs. We didn't walk up to the right where the tower was, so maybe the photos from there would...

Superb views across the cliffs and the sea. We were there in summer, along with many others, but there's still a sense of the isolation to be found and the wildness of the place.
There is ample parking and plenty of guidance around the paths. Some areas are more accessible than others - you can take your pick. A visit...
